FROM BRITTEN X HARROLDS SYDNEY
Luxury department store Harrolds has expanded their menswear offering this year with the introduction of progressive Australian label From Britten P/L. Since the launch of their label in 2010, designers Alexander and Tim Britten-Finschin have managed to secure a number of accolades for their work. These include the VAMFF National Designer Award, inclusion in L’UOMO Vogue’s ‘Powerful Australia’ issue and a showcase of their work at the MCA’s celebration of the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Franca Sozzani. Most recently, the designers were announced as Woolmark Prize finalists for the second year running. With a philosophy that celebrates the utility and history of menswear, their cleverly considered tailoring has helped to cement their status as a new leader in contemporary menswear.
Welcoming the brand’s Spring Summer 15 collection, Harrolds’ Marketing and Communications Director Mary Poulakis said that their ongoing partnership with From Britten P/L is crucial to the store’s celebration of innovative local talent. “Harrolds are proud to present this Melbournian brand alongside world-renowned fashion houses where they have earned their place,” Poulakis said. For SS 15, the brand delivers a mix of sports influenced tailoring and flawless minimalism, all designed and assembled here in Australia.
Praised by The Business of Fashion as one the world’s top 30 most innovative menswear retailers, Harrolds will position From Britten P/L alongside renowned international designers including the likes of Tom Ford, Balmain, Givenchy and Dries Van Noten Their unique blend of form and function is available now to shop in both Harrolds’ Melbourne and Sydney stores.
